The Foo Fighters have canceled their current World Tour following the death of Taylor Hawkins

Taylor Hawkins passed away last Friday in Colombia at the age of 50. He was found dead in a hotel in the north of Bogotá, where the group would perform that night at the Festival Estéreo Picnic.

Following the surprise death of  Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins  on Friday, March 25, the rock band decided to cancel all upcoming dates on their current world tour.

It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins ,” the group said in a statement Tuesday.

We are sorry and share the disappointment that we will not see each other as planned. Instead, let’s use this time to grieve, heal, reach out to our loved ones, and appreciate all the music and memories we’ve created together. With love, Foo Fighters.”

Hawkins passed away last Friday in Colombia at the age of 50.  He was found dead in a hotel in the north of Bogotá , where the group would perform that night at the Festival Estéreo Picnic.

The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the recent tragic death of our beloved Taylor Hawkins But, the group said that day, his musical spirit and his infectious laugh would live with us for a lifetime ,” the group said that day.

“Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect at this unimaginably difficult time,” it said.

The band had performed at the Foro Sol in Mexico City, where Hawkins showed off his mastery of drums and sang “Somebody to Love” by Queen.

The group’s world tour, which had just passed through several South American countries, continued in the United States than in Europe before returning to North America and passing through Australia and New Zealand at the end of 2022. Already winners of 12 Grammy Awards, the Foo Fighters are still nominated in three categories at the 64th ceremony on Sunday in Las Vegas.
